Farm Manager

Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and execute all farming activities, including seeding, harvesting, and crop rotation in collaboration with the Grosse Isle farm. Monitor and maintain farm equipment, scheduling repairs and maintenance as needed. Monitor and implement strategies for pest and disease control. Oversee irrigation and water management systems. Manage a team of farm workers, providing training, guidance, and supervision. Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including inventory and production data. Budget and financial management to ensure the farm operates efficiently. Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices for sustainable/profitable farming practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and health regulations. Qualifications: Post-Secondary Education in Agriculture, Farm Management, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in farm management or a similar agricultural role. Strong knowledge of crop management practices. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment.
