Supervisor, Operations Accounting Oil & Gas

Our Oil & Gas Client is looking for a Supervisor, Operations Accounting to perform and supervise various operational accounting duties reporting to the Controller. If you are a seasoned operations accountant with a focused experience in junior oil and gas with 10+years in the industry including 2+ years in a supervisory position. Your duties will be completing various accounting tasks, relating to production, joint interest, operational, and general accounting functions.Key Accountabilities:Supervising the Team Lead, JV and Master Data & non-operational JV rolesWorking with Capital Administrator and Operations to provide monthly capital reports (by AFE) and capital analysisFull cycle accountingProvide monthly Lease Ops to Operations groupReviewing, preparing, coding, posting and invoicingPrepare operated payout statements and track status of non-operated payout wellsPrepare taxesAP AR subledger quarterly and annual reviewsAnalyzing and reviewing allocations and overheadInterpreting P&S Agreements and assisting in accounting set up post acquisitionWorking with the Controller regarding gathering and preparing data for year-end audit requestsQualifications:10+ years of upstream oil and gas experience, preferably in operations accountingMinimum 3+ years of JV and Accounting ExperienceSolid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large data sets is requiredExperience working with P2 suite of systems (QbyteFM, Optix and CS Land)Experience with Open Invoice and AFE Execute would be considered an assetSoutheast Saskatchewan experience considered an assetA recognized Canadian accounting designation (or working toward) is preferredOur client offers an amazing compensation consisting of salary, bonus, vacation, flex days, options, health & dental benefits and health spending account.If you are interested in this opportunity, please send a copy of your resume to Krista at [email protected] Richards & Associates would like to thank all applicants in advance for their interest in this opportunity.
