In the role , you will be a key contributor, creating the dental hygiene treatment plan according to individual patients needs, and ensuring that patient oral health is the focus!Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of patient care that will ensure the best outcome for the patients.• Use best practices for infection control including while processing instruments and treatment rooms• Medical health history screening and updates• Conduct baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening)• Radiographs and impressions (as prescribed by the Dentist), intra oral photos• Identify conditions and oral disease such as: gingivitis, caries or periodontitis• Dental Hygiene treatment planning including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. as required)• Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required• Maintain accurate documentation/charting• Attend continuing education events from time to timeRequirements:• Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene• Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO• Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail• A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team#indeedmca1MCA values diversity and is committed to creating and fostering a diverse team and an inclusive work environment.
