As a Communications Lead working in our Marketing and Communications team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role throughout the construction of a major project to ensure stakeholder engagement, ensure proactive and transparent communications, manage issues, media relations, crisis management, manage complaints and requests for information and more. Supporting in showcasing our work in building large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $ million to upwards of $ 1 billion- you will have the opportunity to play a key role in showcasing our projects, expertise, and people. What You Will Do Support the client's communications team in the implementation and execution of various communications and stakeholder engagement programs; Take charge for the integrated execution of clear and effective documents, information and communication tools, adhering to a high standard of professionalism, as well as the Client's requirements; Collaborate with the Client to create, plan, manage and deliver short- and long-term communication strategies, as well as crisis management and stakeholder engagement plans; Advise the Client's communications team, as well as the project management team in the management of sensitive media and stakeholder issues; Collaborate with the Client to create policies and procedures to continuously optimize project communication activities and stakeholder engagement plans; Collaborate with the Client to build and manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders; Motivate senior management to review and respond to stakeholder engagement requirements; Manage project communications, stakeholder engagement budget, and performance indicators; Oversee the creation of a wide range of communication tools, including public notices, press releases, presentations, brochures, advertisements, brand integration materials and online content; Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement integrated initiatives and programs, including internal communications, sponsored events and recognition awards; Represent the construction team and project interests at related meetings as well as other formal or informal events and meetings; Train and manage the communications and stakeholder engagement team. This role could be for you if you have Degree or Diploma in communications, marketing, public relations; Specific media relations experience including drafting news releases, crisis communications, community relations, media strategy Understanding of principles of Indigenous community relations 10+ years of experience Superior organizational skills, highly efficient, detail-oriented, and productive; Clear and logical thinking; ability to dissect detailed information and simplify it for a large and varied audience; Autonomous, demonstrates initiative, leadership skills Exceptional writing skills; Bilingual (English & French) considered an asset; Knowledge of the construction industry considered an asset. High level of mobility for travel in Ontario, including to Indigenous and remote communities (25 – 30%).
