Job Title: Financial AnalystLocation: Downtown, TorontoWork Model: 5 days in officePay Rate: $40/hourJob Overview:The Financial Analyst will support the Senior Financial Analyst in delivering financial reports, preparing budgets, and providing forecasting insights for the organization. This role is key in helping senior management make informed financial decisions through clear, accurate analysis and presentations. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for compiling financial data, creating reports, and building presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate financial data are essential.Key Responsibilities:Support Reporting & Analysis: Assist the Senior Financial Analyst in preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to support the development of the annual budget and periodic forecast updates. Utilize financial models and data analysis to inform projections.Financial Presentations: Develop PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership, board meetings, and external stakeholders. Summarize complex financial data into clear, concise visuals and narratives for decision-making.Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators, providing actionable insights to senior management.Financial Communication: Clearly and effectively communicate financial results and trends to various departments, including executives and program leaders, ensuring that they understand the implications for their operations.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to gather necessary financial data and ensure alignment on financial goals and metrics. Collaborate on initiatives to improve reporting efficiency.Presentations to Management: Confidently present financial data and insights to senior leadership, articulating the findings and assisting in strategic decision-making.Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis as needed, supporting management in evaluating new opportunities, program expansions, or financial challenges.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in non-profit or public sector financial management.Familiarity with the unique regulatory and financial considerations in the non-profit sector.
