Start date: September 2024Job Description Apex Systems, a global IT services provider, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with Scrum Master experience to oversee the development and maintenance of core applications for a Big 5 Bank. The role involves managing sprint releases for the Pricing Engine application, which handles all trade booking for FX. There are significant backlogs needing to be cleaned up, typically managed through small and sprint releases.ResponsibilitiesOversee the development and execution of project plans for application enhancements and releases.Manage sprint releases and gradually convert the team to agile methodologies.Lead a team of developers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.Ensure adherence to project methodologies, standards, and best practices.Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize deliverables.Manage risks and issues effectively, developing mitigation plans as needed.Provide regular project updates to senior management.Participate in production deployments, handling end-to-end processes.Qualifications:At least 10 years of project management experience.Experience managing maintenance releases (5-6 weeks).Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly FX trading and payments.Experience with application integration, APIs, and cloud technologies.Production deployment participation experience.Ability to work closely with business stakeholders.Nice to Have SkillsPMP or PMI certification.Experience working in online/retail banking.Payment experience Understanding of ISO 2022 standards.This is a challenging but rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a Big 5 Bank.
