Reporting to the Finance Assistant, The Finance Clerk provides crucial support to the Finance department. The Finance Clerk handles financial record-keeping, data entry, payment processing, and account reconciliation. Additionally, the Clerk  assists with budgeting, generates financial reports, follows financial and PCFS policies, and collaborates with other departments. They must stay updated on financial regulations, participate in training programs, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.WORKING CONDITIONSThis is a full-time, permanent position at our Brocket location with the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday. Flexibility in hours and remote work is negotiable. The annual salary of this position is negotiable based on education and experience levels. Group benefit plan participation is available following a successful probationary period.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Managing financial records: Maintaining and organizing financial documents such as invoices, receipts, and expense reports.Data entry: Inputting financial data accurately and efficiently into accounting systems.Processing payments: Assisting with processing payments to vendors, suppliers, and other entities in a timely manner.Reconciling accounts: Ensuring that financial records align with bank statements and resolving any discrepancies.Assisting with budgeting: Providing support in preparing and monitoring budgets by collecting and analyzing financial data.Generating reports: Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Administrative tasks: Providing general administrative support, such as organizing files, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.Following financial procedures: Adhering to established financial procedures and guidelines to maintain accuracy and compliance.Collaborating with teams: Working with various departments, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, to support financial operations.Assisting with audits: Participating in audits by preparing necessary documents and providing assistance during the audit process.Staying updated: Keeping abreast of financial regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and contribute to process improvements.Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent.Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in financial software.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Experience working with First Nations. Clean Criminal Record and Child Intervention check.
