About the Role
Essity Consumer Goods Canada is looking for an experienced Account Manager to manage a group of identified accounts to achieve designated sales target levels by developing profitable business with new and existing customers. Responsible for the direct sales process.
The ideal candidate should live in the Oakville metro or Vancouver metro.

What You Will Do
Account Analysis: Evaluate the current state of assigned accounts, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Understand the customer’s business, industry, and challenges.
Goal Setting: Define specific and measurable objectives that align with both the customer’s needs and the company’s strategic priorities.
Strategy Development: Create a roadmap of actionable strategies and initiatives to achieve the defined goals. Leverage Nielsen data and customer point-of-sale (POS) information to develop fact-based selling stories. Negotiate and gain commitment from accounts on programs that maximize value for investment. Use Trade Promotion Management (TPM) to plan, manage, and evaluate investment return on trade funds allocated to each customer.
Relationship Building: Build solid multi-level business relationships with key decision-makers and implementers at accounts. Act as a business consultant, assisting customers in meeting their goals and aligning with Essity’s objectives.
Communication and Collaboration: Provide monthly and ad hoc business forecasting, including sales and investments by account and category. Keep cross-functional teams fully informed about business and customer conversations. Generate knowledge on market development, customer needs, and competitor activities, distributing insights internally.
Retail Store Checks and Expertise: Conduct retail store checks for business analysis purposes. Maintain a high level of expertise with customer data and vendor portals.
Who You Are
University degree or equivalent
An experienced Account Manager with 2+ years working with Canadian Retailers
Must have experience calling on Drug and Retail Head Offices
Valid driver’s license and must meet Essity's Corporate Vehicle Policy Standards.
Travel up to 15% of the time; international travel required
Must have 2 or more years Canadian Customer Head Office sales experience calling on one or more of Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Walmart, Costco, Rexall, London Drugs, Pharmasave, SaveOn Foods, or Drug Trading within the consumer-packaged goods industry
Strong attention to detail
Ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment
Demonstrated experience and success in project management
Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and presentation skills
Proficient with MS-Office in the MS-Windows software, Excel pivot table, PPT, Outlook
Excellent team player and ability to work cross-functionally
Strategic thought leader with the ability to provide strong data-based insights
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to multi-task under pressure
