Job Requirements / Description

Education: College/CEGEP

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Tasks:

  1. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  2. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements
  3. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales
  4. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  5. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  6. Oversee the development of communication strategies
  7. Oversee the preparation of reports
  8. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  9. Hire, train, and supervise staff
  10. Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants
  11. Conduct performance reviews
  12. Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures
  13. Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
  14. Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children

Supervision: 3-4 people

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, Electronic mail, Internet Security and safety

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Attention to detail
