We are currently seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for our client in the utilities industry.This is a fulltime permanent position located in Hamilton with a hybrid working model (2 days a week on site).Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR & LR, a key advisor and strategic partner, the HR Business Partner will work closely with business leaders to drive organizational success by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This role is pivotal in ensuring high performance and talent optimization across the organization. The HR Business Partner will serve as the primary point of contact for all people-related matters, working directly with leadership to enhance engagement, retention, and overall performance.The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, with a background in workforce planning, talent development, change management, grievance handling, and performance management. Experience ilabour relations is required.Key Responsibilities:Employee & Labour Relations:Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, support managers with disciplinary actions and grievances, and act as the main contact for Human Rights complaints. Contribute to the bargaining process and provide input on the bargaining agenda.Talent Management:Develop and support the talent management strategy, focusing on leadership development and succession planning. Guide the implementation of performance management programs to promote continuous improvement.Change Management:Lead and advise on culture initiatives and organizational changes at the client group level, including team and job design.Workforce Planning:Analyze workforce metrics to assist in developing plans that address gaps identified through business analytics.Total Rewards:Support the implementation of compensation plans and policies, assist with performance calibration for bonuses, and advise on compensation packages during recruitment.Learning & Development:Collaborate with leaders to identify learning needs and performance gaps, and develop plans for non-formal learning solutions.Recruitment:Partner with the business to create strategies that address staffing needs, ensuring a diverse and fully staffed workforce that aligns with the organization's culture and strategy.Additional Responsibilities:Perform other duties as needed to support the HR function.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related study8-10 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, experience in utilities industry a strong assetCHRL desgination a strong assetStrong labour relations experience working in a unionized environment
