The Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for an energetic Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. As the Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for building and managing a team, with a key focus on driving revenue and profitability for our business.

As the Regional Sales Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Create reports focused on analyzing sales activity and trends
  • Hire and develop a sales team based on market penetration and profitability requirements
  • Provide ongoing sales training, coaching, and mentorship for Sales Reps
  • Manage monthly commissions for Sales Reps
  • Create targets for your sales team, providing ongoing coaching to attain results
  • Use the CRM system to monitor and actively manage sales pipeline metrics
  • Work closely with business units to target large competitive accounts
  • Identify and target complex and large accounts to be managed by the Sales Manager
  • Visit customers alongside Sales Reps when appropriate and beneficial
  • Ensure Sales Reps are focused on driving rental revenue for the business
  • Liaise with manufacturers when directed by the General Manager
  • Handle elevated customer concerns on behalf of the Sales department
  • Stay informed about competitor activity where possible, including market strategies, product developments, and pricing formulas

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Marketing preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an outside sales role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in sales
  • Experienced and confident in cold calling and telephone marketing
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Superior Microsoft Office Suite skills, including experience using MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is an asset
  • Ability to travel throughout the territory as required
  • Highly organized and a self-starter with strong time management skills
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license required

The base pay range for this role is: $150,000 annually plus bonuses dependant on experience.

This is a hybrid role based in Calgary, Alberta.
