Opportunity: One of our Automation Industry clients based out in Cambridge, ON is looking for an "Account Manager" for a Contract to hire opportunity.

Job Description:
1.The Account Manager is directly responsible to the Division Manager for all technical and financial aspects of projects relating to customers assigned to their department.
2. The Account Manager has complete P&L responsibilities within their department.
Skills and qualifications
1. Ability to generate leads for potential work which will include cold calling – disciplined to
provide weekly activity/sales records.
2. Ability to organize the various functions for which the position is responsible – must be a
detailed individual.
3. Ability to resist stress created by unequal work loads and maintain a persistent and pleasant
disposition with customers, management, field and office employees.
4. Requires a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in the automation industry,
specifically with regard to electrical drawing review, standard coding practices for PLC and
HMI’s / SCADA systems typically found in industrial control systems.
5. Ability to work with a multitude of different vendor’s hardware to execute required duties and
responsibilities.
6. Requires a post-secondary diploma or equivalent level of literacy – working knowledge of
computerized reporting systems and word process/spreadsheet software will be mandatory.
7. Ability to manage people and work closely coordinating with other departments and
individuals.
8. Although the majority of PSI’s workload will be domestic (within 4 hours of travel from head
office), some traveling from time to time may be required.
Performance Indicators
1. The specific number of opportunities to make quotation proposals for work, the overall sales
volume generated and the margins realized (as per mutual agreement at start of yearly
business cycle and in accordance with forecasts and budgets as previously defined.
2. The level of technical analysis to determine customer requirements, and most cost effective
means utilizing company resources to create competitive quotation pricing.
3. Completeness of estimate file information, sub trade pricing documentation, Company
Quotation, and work orders.
4. Appropriate level of job planning, scheduling and communication with controls designers,
engineers, PLC and HMI / SCADA programmers, and PPS shop personnel.
5. Safety (no incidents) and Quality of work performed (no warranty claims/call backs.)
6. Customer satisfaction and return new work requests.
7. Increase in market penetration at the expense of competition as well as Greenfield business
opportunities – new work requests from current versus previous business cycles
