The Role

Momentum Jets is looking for a CHARTER SALES MANAGER.

The ideal candidate will have experience in outbound sales in the private jets / executive aviation industry in the US and Canadian markets. A strong understanding of aviation and more specifically private jet charter operations and logistics infrastructure is key.

Job Description

  • Provide a superior and detail-oriented booking and travel experience for clients.
  • To secure private jet opportunities through a portfolio of new clients across North America, the Caribbean and Europe. Identify new clients through research, outbound calls and networking.
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of a wide range of aircraft including, range, configurations, payload capacities, crewing, safety and regulatory matters. Keep up to date with the latest operational capabilities of marketed aircraft, airport, operators and handlers.
  • Build strong, productive relationships with clients and suppliers to meet business targets and grow our supplier network globally.
  • Generate and manage a portfolio of clients and actively develop new business through initiative in following market research, outbound calling to source new leads, client recommendations and networking opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of geo-targeted sales strategies.
  • Monitor progress for sales activities regularly, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer with focus on successes and areas for improvement including directives for action.
  • Source / supply appropriate cost effective charter flight estimates and quotations when requested by clients through careful and clear communication and negotiation with aircraft providers with the aim of procuring best value pricing for clients with suitable commission values for the Company included. Must ensure timely offers and communicate / follow up regularly with clients and suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue accurate charter quotes and itineraries.
  • Responsible for overseeing trip bookings and coordinating all applicable flight logistics including but not limited to hotel reservation, ground transportation and in-flight catering.
  • Act quickly and professionally to resolve customer requests, concerns or complaints.
  • Maintain and update a customer preference database.
  • Demonstrate work schedule flexibility as needed to ensure responsiveness to clients.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Travel when required in line with business needs or attending networking opportunities and conferences.
  • Work in partnership with all other divisions, report or share information where applicable.
  • Manage all information (leads, opportunities, contacts, quotes, reporting within the Company’s CRM).
  • Maintain inputs for weekly sales reporting metrics (lead generation, phone calls, emails, social network outreach).
  • Keep up to date with industry changes and policies which affect the company and the role.
  • Awareness and complete discretion in full compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Previous private jet industry experience is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in aviation management or related field is an asset.
  • Experience using and maintaining a CRM.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential or sensitive information.
  • Existing client and / or operator contacts will be prioritized.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Innovative problem solving and negotiation skills – the ability to work well under pressure and sources solutions quickly.
  • Driven, self-motivated, hardworking, flexible working hours.
  • Valid Passport – Ability to travel anywhere.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays and on-call/after hours.
  • Committed to professionalism, honesty, accountability, respect and ethical conduct.

Flexible Language Requirement

  • Additional languages are a plus.

  • We are offering a very competitive salary including benefits with a generous commission structure.
