Speech-Language Pathologist, Child Development Centre

$79,462 to $99,196 per year plus a 9.31% pension contribution

Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30 (full-time)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join the team at the Child Development Centre in Prince George, B.C, on the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheildi T’enneh First Nation and Dakelh speaking peoples. You will work with a highly skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team of professionals. The Child Development Centre values flexibility and mentorship.

The caseload includes a full range of early intervention speech therapy services to children from birth to school entry. The position will primarily work from the centre in Prince George with opportunity for travel to surrounding communities.

Qualifications

  • Active registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC
  • Graduate of a recognized Speech-Language Pathology program
  • An acceptable criminal records check
  • A valid British Columbia Class 5 driver’s license

The Child Development Centre of Prince George and District is one of the largest and longest serving child development charities in British Columbia. It follows a family-centred philosophy and practice, using a multidisciplinary approach. Our team consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, early childhood support staff, and family resource workers. It also collaborates closely with community agencies, fostering each child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and communication abilities.
