As a small, diverse, and agile team, we’re a young and passionate entrepreneurial company that has only just begun to make its mark. We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager, Waste Sector Partnerships to assist in securing partnerships with waste haulers in North America.

Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the Sales Manager is responsible for business development and partnership-building efforts targeting US-based waste services companies and waste haulers. The incumbent will be passionate about our products and play an important part in securing company growth through partnerships with waste companies in North America. Understanding how to identify potential leads, build relationships, and track results is critical for success.

This role offers a hybrid work environment with a requirement to work in the office a minimum of three (3) days per week, subject to change. Candidates should be within commuting distance of the office. While the majority of the role takes place in-office, some travel to trade shows or to visit customers may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform market research to identify potential markets and partners that are a good fit for FoodCycler products and solutions.
  • Generate leads and document them in the CRM system.
  • Perform outreach to qualified leads using email, phone, LinkedIn, and other tools.
  • Convert leads into new customers and assist with contract negotiation, logistics, and deployment.
  • Manage assigned accounts from launch through to maturity, acting as the single point of contact for customers.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure the product is smoothly delivered to customers.
  • Assess customer performance via regular business reviews and monitor adherence to FoodCycler standards, pricing, and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain sales forecast for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor and report on product quality for each account and be responsible for the customer RMA process.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by sharing customer feedback and other lessons learned with relevant internal departments.
  • Ensure the CRM / ERP system is current with all relevant customer information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, marketing, finance, engineering, science, or other related field of study. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with 3+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development
  • Experience working with waste haulers is considered an asset, and preference will be given to candidates with this experience.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and MS Office applications.
  • The incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
