Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to join our team. The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading and executing all sales efforts within the business unit. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strong customer relationships. The ideal location for this position is Toronto, however, consideration will be given to candidates based in other locations where Metro has offices. Candidates should be willing to travel as necessary to meet with clients, attend conferences, and visit other company locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the Metro business unit.

• Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, support, and training to maximize performance and productivity.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for new business and fostering long-term partnerships.

• Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market trends.

• Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making, including evaluating strategic markets.

• Establish and monitor sales metrics and revenue goals to track performance and drive accountability.

• Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify potential threats and opportunities for differentiation.

• Represent Metro Wallcoverings at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

• Manage and develop the organization's CRM tool to ensure it supports the business for growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and building high-performing sales teams.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve goals and objectives.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving business growth and innovation.
