LG Electronics Canada, Inc., (“LG”) is seeking a highly skilled, energetic and creative Talent Acquisition Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for attracting people who live our values and culture. As a strategic partner to the business, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will have a deep understanding of our business and our roles and will be excited by building relationships and networks with the goal of connecting great talent to the right role at LG.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have a passion for people, has an uplifting attitude, a strong sense of self and is always looking to develop and grow both personally and professionally.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position, and meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles helping management find, hire, and retain quality talent
  • Grow and foster high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open up
  • Work with the Head of HR to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies
  • Stay active with current with job boards, social networks, and platforms to find talent, and plan, create, and release job descriptions and announcements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Build talent pipelines for current and future job opening
  • Develop a network and database of potential future hires including past applicants and referred candidates
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative recruiting strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business
  • Screen resumes and prospects, qualify, interview, and manage candidates throughout interview process from prepping before interviews to assisting with final offer process
  • Develop and lead all sourcing strategies, external sourcing partnerships and execute searches
  • Provide coaching and guidance to hiring managers with respect to interviewing & selection best practices
  • Develop and manage our external partnerships with colleges/universities, associations, temp labor agencies, and job boards, etc.
  • Participate in and host recruitment events to drive awareness around LG’s career opportunities
  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience (including application, sourcing, interviews and communication)
  • Support the implementation of online and offline employer branding activities
  • Measure key recruitment metrics (i.e. the sourcing of hire, time-to-hire/fill etc.) and build out robust talent analytics dashboards and reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Work with Head of HR to forecast hiring needs based on the company’s growth plans, succession planning, etc.
  • Manage and further develop our referral program
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure an exceptional candidate experience
  • Manage the exit interview process and related key metrics in order to produce analytic reports on a monthly basis

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of university degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years related to full-cycle recruitment for multi-division organization;
  • Advanced knowledge of Behavioral Interviewing, Skill Assessments
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills with an ability to understand broad Human Resources issues
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, results-driven, high performing, collaborative, shows initiative, proactive, encourages building key relationships
  • Out of the box thinker, focusing on best practices in recruiting, current and active on top of the new recruiting tools, trends and technology.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, applicant tracking systems, candidate mgmt. systems, LinkedIn and Indeed Sourcing with the ability to create and run reports
